Share in an evening of fortifying food, herbs, and drink in
celebration of the spring garden season.
Introducing a new dinner series at Martha presented by Shayna Marmar and Honeypie Cooking. Each event connects the cooking process with a local maker, purveyor, and/or grower, culminating in a meal, along with a special pop-up shop.
This focus of the first event is on the versatility of local herbs, and features Elise Hanks. Elise is a knowledgeable herbalist and the founder of . In addition, she makes shrubs that are used in Martha’s drinks, and she is also Martha's florist and friend. Excited to blend interests for a harmonious, heart-warming evening, Elise and Shayna will explore multiple holistic and culinary uses of herbs.
Discussion around everyday healing properties and uses of herbs will be followed by meal preparation and information. Demos and hands-on cooking will focus on seasonal ideas for enhancing meals in ways that are comforting, nourishing, and creative. A three-course meal that is vegan- and allergen-inclusive will be served at the close of the evening.
The event begins at 6:00 PM, with food served by 7:45 PM. Terra Luna Herbals’
pop-up shop, showcasing Elise’s beautiful, handmade self care products and her herbal CSA, will be available until 9:30 PM.
Tickets are available for purchase through the link below or through the Eventbrite page.
Herbal-infused cocktail specials prepared by Martha’s multi-talented Mike Landers will be available throughout the evening for additional purchase.
